ICPA Nummit Topical Anesthetic Spray ICPA Nummit Topical Anesthetic Spray is an amide-type local anesthetic used to produce rapid and effective surface anesthesia. It works by reversibly blocking nerve transmission when applied to a localized area, helping to reduce pain and discomfort during dental and medical procedures. The active ingredient, lidocaine, binds to sodium channels in the nerve membrane and prevents sodium ion entry during depolarization, thereby inhibiting nerve impulse conduction. The spray acts quickly, is generally very safe, and provides prolonged anesthetic action. It can also be used as an anesthetic lubricant to facilitate the insertion of medical instruments.
