Dentsply Intermediate Restorative Material (IRM) Dentsply IRM Intermediate Restorative Material is designed for intermediate restorations intended to remain in place for up to one year. It is widely used in temporary and emergency restorative situations and offers strength properties that closely approach those of zinc phosphate cement. IRM is suitable for a broad range of clinical applications, including endodontic access openings, pediatric teeth expected to exfoliate soon, and caries management programs. The material is available in an ivory shade and supplied in a powder–liquid hand-mix delivery system.
